First launched in Japan in 2005, DANCE@LIVE is an huge dance event made up of countless dance battles. It is the biggest competition of its kind in the world, with preliminary rounds held across Japan lasting several months.
DANCE@LIVE attracts up to 1 million dancers and 5 million spectators from all age ranges, who come to see the best dancers compete.
The Asia-Pacific tournaments are initially country-based, where each nation’s competitors dance for the right to represent their country and, ultimately, to enter the final championship tournament to battle for the title as Asia’s No.1 DANCE@LIVE Champion.
Now in its 17th year, the B-Boy Championship is one of the world’s greatest Hip-Hop events. Dancers compete for the opportunity to represent their country at the national qualifiers, which is one of the most eagerly anticipated dance-off in the hip-hop calendar. The event features the best solo breakers, poppers, lockers and b-boy crews from across the globe. It also plays host to some of the most exciting hip-hop artists to visit the UK.
The best dancers from around the globe come together at the Brixton Academy to compete in the World’s No. 1 B-Boy contest in hope of winning the World Champion title.
After a 5-month search and 8 international eliminations, the winners are invited to the ultimate B-Boy battle at the B-Boy Championship finale. Over 5,000 people are set to descend on London’s Brixton Academy to watch these mind-blowing moves performed by some of the world’s exceptional talents.
